Juneteenth invitations

Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, commemorates the momentous day in American history in 1985 when enslaved Black people in Texas finally learned that slavery had been outlawed in the United States, two-and-a-half years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. Since then, the resilience of those who endured the injustices of slavery has been celebrated on June 19 around the country, and recently, Juneteenth became a federal holiday. People choose to observe Juneteenth in many different ways, and Paperless Post has beautifully designed invitations to help gather people together, no matter how you choose to honor this immensely important occasion.

As mentioned, there are so many ways to celebrate Juneteenth, and we've created just as many invitations to help you make the most of your Freedom Day festivities. Whether you're hosting an educational event, a fundraiser, a community concert, an at-work lunch-and-learn, a rally, a dinner party, or a barbecue (more on that in a minute!), there's a Paperless Post invitation or animated Flyer to fit your needs and drum up excitement for your get-together. Depending on the vibe of your Juneteenth event, choose from bold, colorful, relatable, and tasteful designs that are exclusive to us.

Juneteenth cookout invitation

Juneteenth cookouts are a traditional way to celebrate freedom, family, and of course, incredible food. Guests are often served local grilled meat—including goat, pork, or beef—as well as red food and drinks, in honor of the bloodshed of Black slaves in America. Think red soda and punch, sliced watermelon, and red velvet cake. If you're hosting a Juneteenth barbecue, Paperless Post has the perfect online invitations to bring people together, featuring illustrations of delicious food, glistening grills, and of course, family. They're fully customizable, always ad-free, and include RSVP tracking—so you'll know exactly how much food to stock up on for your Freedom Day feast.
